Easter Sunday

Feel the Spring Rain!
It was raining on Easter Sunday (yesterday). Just because of it was Easter, we decided it was the first Spring Rain. Tina wanted to go out and feel the spring rain, she had fun getting wet all over. Actually, still a little cold to get wet....

Easter came early this year. It's still March! "Easter" sounds "April" to me..! These are the eggs my daughter and I had painted the past years, we will do the "egg painting" tomorrow.
Happy Easter!

Hyacinth / 2nd Day

When I entered my living room this morning, oh my God, it smelled like Heaven! 50% bloomed.
I took some photos, and Nicky was sitting beside me, interested in the soil!

Hyacinths are at the stores! I bought one purple, still all tight buds. I will take pictures everyday to see how fast they grow.

Saint Paulia

Is there four seasons in Florida? We have flowers all around the year, trees are kind of always green, we have warm winter, we wear T-shirts all the time, we don't need a thick jacket.......but there is spring here.
Oak trees have flowers now. Maple trees have flowers and samaras now. Ducks will have chicks soon. Yellow trees started to bloom as if they know it's March. Local strawberries arrived. Grasses are greener.....
And my Saint Paulia always have most flowers in Spring. I have a collection of Saint Paulias in my Kitchen window. The original purple one is the strongest and have flowers through the year. This pink one, wine red one....blooms only in spring. How do they know Spring has come? How do they know spring from a warm winter?

1)Taken from outside at night. I like the light leaks through the curtains, makes nice silhouette and displays some kind of happy feeling with warm color. 2)Taken from inside at daytime, of course, Nicky loves to sit there. He can't jump up to the window yet, I helped him there. He can jump down whenever he wants.

We drove to Lake Okeechobee again (the last time, November 07) to see if the water level is any higher. Not much..... There was a big puddle (lagoon?) and a few kind of gulls, many of them were there. They all were facing the same direction, toward the wind, why??? Then one gull showed me the reason why (upper photo), you got it?!They hate that "bad hair"!

Our New Kitty, Nicky

We found this cat at a Pet shop and we were just clicked. He might not have the cutest kitty face, but his friendly attitude and playfulness makes this cat very pretty.

We adopted him from Broward County Animal Care and Regulation Division on 3/12/08.

He turned to a timid cat in the new enviroment, then explore and explore the whole house and started to play crazily with my daughter. He already found his comfy spot.

I tend to give my plants too much water. So some plants which hate water die in my house.
But this one, Small Pansy, Viola, seems to like a lot of water. I thought it would die, because it didn't have any new flowers after the first one or two, but suddenly have six, seven flowers in these 2-3 days! It maybe waited for the Big Chill we had to go away.

Miami Metro Zoo

Tiger is always our most favorite animal in this house. When we arrived at the Zoo yesterday, all three tigers were taking a nap under the tree, no movements.... but when we came back to the tigers later, they are awake, walking and running, praying(upper photo), licking his fur.....etc, we enjoyed a lot! They really are big cats!

Tassel Flower

While ago, I posted "Florida Tassel Flower" photo, and now they are ready to take off! It was windy when I found them like these, they started to fly away while I was aiming them! So shiny in the Sun and so pretty!
