ちゃんとした形のもあれば、こわれたのもある、でもどれもが霧のビーズでいっぱいで・・・・・四方八方にひろがっているからマクロレンズで捉えるのが難しい。何枚か撮って家に戻り、コンピューターで見てみるとなんだか良くない。大急ぎでまた外に戻ってまた撮ってみる。３回目にはもう、水滴が消えてきて、ただのクモの巣に段々戻っていってしまう。霧の朝のマジックが消えてしまいました。

Misty Morning

Once in a year thing.....we had a very misty morning today. This is just our parking lot and road in our Apartment property, looks like a mistical mountain view!
I rushed out with my camera, there were a lot of spider webs that we never even noticed in fine weather, shiny and heavy with beads of mist.

南フロリダで、朝起きたら外が霧にかすんでいた、なんていうのは一年に一回（去年も一回）の事、シャワーも朝ごはんもそっちのけでカメラを持って外へ飛び出します。天気のいい日には全然目に付かないクモの巣が、まあそれはそれはあちこちにあるのに驚きます。空気中の細かい霧がクモの糸に無数のビーズを作ってキラキラして、なんともキレイな現象です。
この写真はうちの前、アパートの敷地のただの道と駐車スペース・・・山の中の大自然に迷い込んだようじゃない？

Day After the Rain

It was raining yesterday. This Hibiscus flower is bent down with rain this morning, but appeals more to me in this way. The red color is washed and looks vivid and fresh, flower doesn't look very showy and demanding like when it is open.

夜の間ずっと珍しく雨でした。今朝のハイビスカスは雨に打たれてうなだれて・・・・でも晴れの日に開いているハイビスカスよりも、色は雨に洗われて鮮やかだし、これ見よがしの派手さがなくて、却って好きです。

Little Green Vases

What I saw and what my camera captured are not the same. My brain adjusts something which is not straight, fills up something which is missing, makes up something the way it supposed to be. So the picture in my brain when I see through the lens is perfect, then my camera doesn't follow.....This photo, 1)The flowers are too dark, 2)The vases are not straight, 3)I never even knew the brown shadow on the right one, 4)............etc. But I like it!

カメラを覗いているときに見るものは、私の脳、頭が働いて、多少曲がっていてもまっすぐに調整して見るし、足りないものは補って見るし、大体こうだろうと想像したものを見るので、完璧な図ができてる。でもカメラはそういうフレキシブルなことはしてくれないので、できた写真をみるとまあ、違うんだなあ。目では見えていなかったものがずいぶんある。曲がってるのがよくわかる。汚れがある・・・・・・・

Marigold

Marigold is not my favorite flower, the color is too strong for my taste......so I killed it!

Now it looks different (of course) and interesting, reminds me of a Science class at school.

マリゴールド、名前はとてもかわいいけれど、ちょっと色がきつすぎてあんまり好きじゃありません。

半分にしてみたら違って見えた（当たり前）、タンポポと同じ構造なのかと思います。でも

マリゴールドの綿毛って聞いたことないか・・・・。

Viola

悪いけど、スミレじゃない、このパンジーのいろいろバージョンの花は、正面向きよりも、後ろとか横向きのほうが好きです。可憐な感じが見えます。これは２ｃｍ位の小さい花、大きさから言うとやっぱりスミレらしくて小さいほうがいいな。

Peter Rabbit

I took this photo in September 2007, I didn't care much about this then. A few days ago, when I was looking through my old folders, this photo suddenly appealed to me...so I entered this to the photo-site, and won photo-of-the-day right away!

去年の９月に、新しいカメラになれるために部屋の中の光を使って撮る練習をしてたときの写真。練習以外の何者でもないと思って気にもかけずにいたけど、偶然前の写真を見ていたら目について、アラ、と思って出してみたら即、今日の一枚に入りました。不思議。

Dream of Spring

Even in Florida, even we always have some flowers all around the year, something different happens in Spring, we long for the Spring.

アホなことに、英語・日本語をシフトする Language Bar がきのう急に消えてしまって、日本語を書けませんでした。どこに行っちゃったんだよ・・・サーチしてたら、そういう事はよくあるらしく、アレコレ試す方法を試してたらポッと戻ってきました...
写真を撮るために寄せ植えの鉢を買いました。わざとボケにして撮ったら春の夢、らしくない？

Papaya

My brother's Papaya tree has a lot of flowers now and the neighbor's tree, just on the other side of the fence, has these big fruits already. That one is ready now!

弟の家のパパイヤの木には、今花がたくさんついてます。そのすぐ後ろの塀の向こう側の、隣のうちのパパイヤの木には、大きなフルーツがたわわ・・・年数が違うのかしら。

Rose Leaf

バラの葉、この葉っぱだけになぜかたっくさんの水滴がいっぱいついていて、日の光にキラキラしてました。向こう側の葉の水滴が風の具合でキラキラ揺れて、シャッターを切った瞬間にプリズムになってくれました。

There were so many water drops only on this Rose leaf, looked like Gems, glittering in the Sunshine. A drop on the leaf in the back was moving with the breeze, I caught the prism!

Felix the cat

学校や会社に行ってる間、ネコはあなたのベッドを占有して、のびのびと昼寝をしているのです。
何の夢をみてるのかな、ニギニギしてる・・・・。

This is what Felix is doing while you are at school. My niece's bed, all to himself!

Prepare for Spring

It was Winter cold just less than one week ago, and I found something Spring today.

フロリダで本当の冬のように寒～かった日からまだ一週間にもならないのに、今日は早々と春の用意をしているバラの芽を見つけました。

Gone Fishing

ハハハ・・・スイスイと泳いでいた水鳥が、いきなりダイブしました。反射神経の鈍さ！

I was watching a Moorhen swimming through my camera, and he dived suddenly. This photo is a proof of my wonderful reflex.

Avocado 2

きのう、こういう写真を撮ろうとして成功しなかったので、今朝またパティオで時間をすごしました。くもり、時々雨、という天気で、やっとつかの間太陽の光が届いたすきに、やっと思うような写真になりました。わ～い！

This photo is something I wanted to take yesterday. I tried again this morning, but it was cloudy and rainy......when the sunlight reached just a second , there!!! This is what I wanted to take!

Water drops

食べたあとのアボカドの種を、水栽培から始めて土に移し、フロリダの気候はあってるのでどんどん伸びました。２－３年で私の背より高くなった。実はならないけどね・・・・

霧を吹いてやると、水がコロコロと葉っぱの端や、葉脈に沿って並び、なんともカワイイ。

I started from the seed of an avocado which I ate. It had grown so fast under the Florida weather, taller than me after a few years. I don't get fruits, but water droplets on Avocado leaves are very atractive............

Colder

下のCold in Florida は、１月２日のことを書きました。夜遅くなって、真夜中を数分すぎたので、PC　が３日にしてしまったのです。今日、３日は、予報通りすごく寒くなって、しかもくもり日で風が冷たくて、陰気くさくて、きのうとは大違いでした。夜、今年初のキックボクシングのクラスへ行きました。この寒いのに汗をかいたら、外に出た時、汗が凍るかと思った！！

OK, "Cold in Florida" below was about January 2nd, not 3rd. Because I posted it only a few minutes after midnight, computer made it 1/3/08.
Yes, I am writing about 1/3/08 now. Compared with yesterday, it is cloudy and dark and groomy weather today, and a lot colder.

I had a kickboxing class tonight, we sweat a lot and had a great time as usual, but when the class was over and I stepped outside, oh, I thought my sweat would freeze!

Cold! in Florida

ゆうべから急に、グッと寒くなりました。今日の最低気温は華氏４７度、摂氏だと８度位です。ほらね、フロリダだってちゃんと寒いでしょ。

天気はとっても良かった。青い空で、空気が冷たくて、風が身にしみる北風でした。

でも、もっと北の国の８度とフロリダの８度では、フロリダの方が寒いんです。慣れてないから。

ジャケットやセーターを着る、まれなチャンスなのです！明日はもっと寒いそうです！たまにだからうれしい。

It was cooooold today in Florida.　Air was crisp, Sky was so blue, Wind was chilly、rare chance for us to wear sweaters or jackets!

Current condition as of 11:50pm EST, temperature is 41F, (High 57F, Low 38F)

"Feels like" temperature is 35F!! Humidity 38%......in Florida!

The TV said a few hours ago, "Cold Blast Tomorrow!"

Sunrise

明けましておめでとうございます。今年もどうぞよろしく！

早起きして初日の出を見てきました。いつもは何もないのに、今日に限ってこの船、タンカーだか貨物船だかがいて、しかも右よりでも左よりでもない、ちょうどぴったり測ったように、太陽の出てくる位置に泊っていて、船越しのサンライズになってしまいました。今年はついてないってことかしら・・・

Happy New Year!

We went to the Beach to see the first Sunrise of 2008. This boat, tanker, ship...whatever was there, just in the right (wrong?) spot of where the Sun would be coming up.....why today....????!!!! I'd never seen this one here before! This maybe the sign of my UNLUCKY year?!
