Florida Autumn in January

Cypress trees (above) and Live Oak trees (below) usually don't turn their leaf-color in Autumn. Just because we've been having low temperature and dry air, plus Florida Sunshine, of course, I noticed these trees look beautiful like Autumn season now in January.
Florida Red Maple trees usually get reddish, but not like this year. The whole tree is red, and the red is not reddish, it's RED! In the month of January, Florida finally reached the Autumn temperature of the cold countries!

Mapleは、秋になるとまあ少しは赤っぽくなってましたが、今年ほどキレイに、全体が赤くはなりません。上の２種類は、この辺にたくさんある木ですが、普通は色を変えないと思います。

今年の冬、元日から低い温度が続いて、ちょうど寒い国の秋くらいの温度だったんでしょうか、このところ急にあちこちが色づいて紅葉の季節みたいです。

紅葉に必要な条件、低温、太陽光、乾燥・・・・普通ならフロリダには「強い太陽」しかないわけですが、今年の冬は気温が下がって空気も乾いていたから、ここの木達は「よし！秋だぞ！」と喜んで色づいたのでしょうね。
