Morning Glory

This bud was taken yesterday, then I have three flowers this morning! All purple. Early morning like 6:30, they are half open, and before noon, all shrunk already. It took more than 2 month from the start, and finally showed flower just for 4-5 hours! What a short life...

つぼみの写真はきのう撮ったもの、きょうは花が３つ開きました。むらさきいろ。朝早くにはまだよく開いていなくて、しばらくしたら丸くきれいに開き、で、昼前にはもうしぼんでしまいました。４月８日に種をまいて約二ヶ月半かかってやっと花が咲いたと思ったら、４－５時間の命・・・・・・！

For the last two weeks I'd been watching my brother's house and taking a lot of photos at their yard, but they are coming home from Japan in a few hours. I was in their yard again today, I got three bugs here. A little bit ugly butterfly, a pretty butterfly and a spider....enjoy!

２週間、弟の家と彼らのペットの面倒を見てましたが、あと数時間したら日本から帰ってきます。今日はあそこの庭で、花は撮りつくしたので、生き物を探しました。カタツムリは数枚撮ったけれど、どれもボケてだめでしたが、ちょっと蛾のようなちょうちょ、かわいいちょうちょ、それからクモ・・・・クモは「足長おじさん」といういい名前がついています。

Rainy June

When I take photos of flowers, I love to do it with rain drop, dew, even I spray water for an accent. Now we have real rain, I go out after the rain and take these photos, and get bit by mosquitos....!

花の写真を撮って自分で採点するときに、これはきれいに撮れてるけど「ただの花」じゃん、というのが一番困るのです。何もアクセントがない、のっぺりしてつまらない、せっかく細かいところまでキレイに撮れたのに・・・・「ただの花」じゃない写真をねらっています。水・・・・雨でも露でも・・・がくっついてると、ただの花がグッと引き立ちます。時にはわざと水をかけてアクセントを作ったりします。今は雨のシーズンなので、シャワーがサーっと通ったあと、いそいで外に出て写真を撮ります。フレッシュだし、水滴がカワイイし、同じ花でもうんと違って見えます。

My brother's yard

My brother's family, the parents and two daughter - 16 and 19 yrs old - are in Japan for two weeks vacation. I have to take care of their dog, three cats and the house with yard.

These are their plants in the backyard, I just can't stop finding something to take photos.

弟夫婦と娘ふたり、１６歳と１９歳、が２週間日本へ行きました。うちから１５分足らずのところですが、ネコ３匹と犬１匹、ついこの間泥棒が入って弟のモーターバイクを盗んだので（幸い、あまり遠くないところで警察が見つけてくれました）家と庭をしっかり見張らなきゃなりません。

庭には結構いろんな木や花があるので、写真の題材はたっぷり・・・・！！

　　　　June 8, I looked at the tree and surprised that all the flowers were gone already!
　　　それでこの日にはフッと木を見上げたら、花が全部落ちて空っぽだったのでまたビックリ。

But to my surprise, the next day June 4, the tree was full of new flowers and smells so sweet!
きのうは全部つぼみだったと思ったら、突然満開になってビックリしました。

Taken June 3. Some of the flowers started to open, but I thought It would take a few more days for whole tree to be full-bloom.

This quite tall tree of Jasmine is in my brother's front yard, it blooms a few times a year. When it's full bloom, the whole neighborhood smells so sweet, many bees are buzzing and flying...just so gorgeous.

弟の家の前にあるジャスミンの割と大きな木ですが、年に何度も花が咲きます。満開の時にはその辺一帯がいいにおいで、小さなハチがすごくたくさんブンブン飛び回っています。

Funny thing

I thought this is just a weed, but Alyssum, after the season. Then what are these? After the flowers and after the seeds? Looks like little magnified glasses, or the things to blow bubbles...looked so cute and couldn't resist to take a shot.

ペンペン草かと思ったら、れっきとしたアリッサムでした。花のあと種になって、その種が落ちたあとでしょうか。あんまりカワイイのでちょっと一枚・・・
